As the Founder of Black Road, Dr. Niessen established Black Road Veterinary Services in 1997. A native of St. Joseph Island with a passion for her equine companions, Dr. Niessen completed her DVM at the University of Guelph and spent her first years after graduation practicing across the Algoma District before opening her own clinic in Sault Ste. Marie. She is most at home in the barn, hiking with her German Shepherd, Fozzie, and has recently discovered the addiction of training for triathlons.
Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Dr. Gould attended the University of Guelph to obtain a BSc. (Hons) in Biology. Following graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000, she has returned to practice in Northern Ontario as a DVM. When not found in an exam room, Kerry can be found outdoors camping or fishing with her husband and four children.
As the newest member of the Black Road team, Dr. Beduhn is a graduate of the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical studies at Michigan State University. A member of the Canadian Forces until 2004, Dr. Beduhn, has worked in a companion animal setting since obtaining his DVM. He enjoys time with the family Miniature Poodle, Molly, and skiing, fishing and travelling with his wife and two children.
